New Post - Checking In + Guy J ‘Esperanza’

Recently discovering the now 2yr old artist album by the fantastically talented electronic music producer Guy J, I’ve taken a step into the deeper realms of the progressive house sound. This album is purely instrumental… ethereal sounding. You can clearly hear the dance influence on each tune, even the more chilled out numbers; everything is excellently composed. Uplifting, brooding, hopeful, sad. All of the elements of human emotion are present without a single word ever being spoken.
The album is structured as a listening experience and it is mostly coherent; nothing feels really out of place with the exception of the ‘Druma’ number. Each tune uses different methods and sound combinations to attain something special, to the point that its almost a worldly album where, as previously mentioned, you can hear the modern dance floor elements mixed in the more natural sounding music. The title track is a fine example, with a brief drum breaks section, to support floating pads and strings.
I couldn’t possibly describe the music in words and effectively do it any justice! So, in short, this is the album I’m listening to right now and I simply love it. I highly suggest sampling it on the official page, I doubt you’ll find any reason to not have this in your collection. Check it on iTunes, Beatport, etc.
Guy J ‘Esperanza’. Check it out!
